My father has passed on.
John Allen Gonnason

He grew up on a farm milking cows every morning. He made sure he went to school so he would never have to milk a cow again. He was facinated by the radio, which lead to him becoming a Electrical Engineer @ University of Washington.
He ran a crew of guys in Alaska maintaining the communications up here for 30 years for the FAA. He raised three great, smart sons that went on the be doctors, engineers and teachers. He was very straight forward and buisness like in all aspects of his life, but never cold or unloving.
He loved to shop for all the nicer things with his hard earned reiterment. Mainly kitchen stuff because he loved a good meal. Bread, cookies, steak, hamburgers, panckaes, pretty much anything he could make himself.
He took a huge pride in his yard esp since he grew up on a farm. A perfect lawn, new oak and maple trees for the house. Defending them from moose. Growing corn, peas, potatoes, strawberries, crabapples, radishes and lettuce.
He also loved to go camping, fishing on a lake or in his boats. He liked to build balsa wood planes of all the planes he has ever flown on (which is an absolute ton of prop planes.)
He also really loved the internet which is what really got him into computers. He started collecting stamps after I gave up on it when I was 7. He had them all catalouged and organized into folders and some database software to keep track of all the current prices.
He was my father, the light when the times of my life were uncertain and cloudy, and a mentor from which to learn and grow. He will be sorely missed and remembered till the day that I too pass on.
